Service Description

Needlepoint as it is known today can be said to have originated in the 17th century, when the fashion for furniture upholstered with embroidered fabrics prompted the development of a more durable material, canvas, to serve as the foundation for the embroidery. In these two hour, two session classes, we will learn how to transfer your design, using paint, on to the canvas, and how to turn your project into a framed piece! Tuition includes instruction and use of equipment. You may purchase supplies before class at our studio or at another fabric store. The supply list will be sent to you upon registering for the class.
