Cold Cooking Program for Robin's group

This nut-free class is a great way to get aspiring chefs started in the kitchen! We will meet every Tuesday at 4:15 starting on December 5th for six weeks. Kids will learn how to properly measure and combine wet and dry ingredients, kitchen safety, how to read and follow recipes, recognizing kitchen equipment and learning how to use it, follow instructions - young children are particularly inclined to want to add more, jump stages or taste when they shouldn't. They will get to know different tastes, textures and foods, how to grease a pan, and will become more independent and confident. We will also discuss sweet vs. savory, Food hygiene, and how to recognize ingredients (salt vs sugar). Some snacks that we may make are: Dipped Fruit Chunk Sculpture, Awesome Energy Bars, Mini Tarts, Terrific Trifles. This is a six week course, starts on September 5th at 4:30pm, but you can start anytime! These classes are ongoing throughout the school year. They are open to k-5 grade levels. The cost of $200 includes all materials and instructions. No make-up classes at this time. -Students missing a workshop do so at their own loss. (one-time class) -No refunds or prorates for missed classes. -Individuals who withdraw from their course (6-week class) within 2 weeks before it begins, may do so less $35 processing fee. -An enrolled student withdrawing 1 week before, or after, it begins will receive no refund, unless outstanding circumstances exist (e.g medical condition with Dr note or extreme family emergency). Credit can be extended to a class of equal value, minus any classes attended and less a $35 processing fee.
