Private Classes for Kim-Punch Needle

Service Description

Punch Needle originated in American in the late 1800's and evolved from early methods of rug making including shirring, reed stitched rugs, yarn-sewn rugs and traditional rug hooking, to become the art form that it is today. In this class, you will learn how to transfer designs from paper to fabric, how to use a punch needle, and how to mount your work on a glass jar, decorative container, or slate board. Participants will make one project every two weeks. $40 for one class This class includes one-two hour sessions of instruction. The supplies can be purchased online or we can buy them for you (we need at least one week before the first class in order for us to receive the supplies). A list of supplies will be emailed to each participant after registering. No experience needed for these classes.
