Service Description

Blackwork, sometimes historically known as Spanish blackwork, is a form of embroidery worked in black thread. Other colors are also used on occasion, as in Scarletwork, where red thread is used on the embroidery . This style of embroidery originated on clothing in Tudor period England. In this class, participants will learn the stitches and how to transfer the designs to fabric. You will make wall hangings and other projects. Tuition includes two-two hr classes with full instruction. The supply list will be emailed to each participant after they have registered for the class.
