Service Description

Crewel is a special kind of embroidery done with a crewel needle and used for clothing, drapery, and upholstery. The word "crewel" comes from an old Welsh term that means wool. In this class, you will learn how to transfer designs from paper to linen fabric, how to use a crewel needle, and how to make a pillow with your work. Participants will make one project every two weeks. The sessions will run every two weeks. ($60 for two classes) This class includes one and a half hours of instruction and use of the equipment in our studio. The supplies can be purchased at our studio or another art store. A list of supplies will be emailed to each participant after registering. Basic embroidery experience is needed for these classes.
