Service Description

Punch Needle originated in American in the late 1800's and evolved from early methods of rug making including shirring, reed stitched rugs, yarn-sewn rugs and traditional rug hooking, to become the art form that it is today. In this class, you will learn how to transfer designs from paper to fabric, how to use a punch needle, and how to mount your work on a glass jar, decorative container, or slate board. Participants will make one project every two weeks. The sessions will run every two weeks. ($80 for two classes) This class includes two-two hour sessions of instruction and use of the equipment in our studio. The supplies can be purchased at our studio or another art store. A list of supplies will be emailed to each participant after registering. No experience needed for these classes.
