Service Description

Our photography course will get your kid excited to get behind the camera and learn the basics of photography. In this 6-week course (starting September 9th), our talented teachers will walk your kids through how to take photos from start to finish. Each semester will include lessons on the Rule of Thirds and Fill the Frame, how to get the best lighting, how to properly take care of their camera, how to journal with photographs, a couple Photography Scavenger Hunts, Leading Lines, how backgrounds affect the final pictures, forced perspective vs. perspective, and how to edit their photos. Each student will be provided with a digital camera and journal to use during class. later in the semester, we will take a walk to the park down the street to put our new knowledge to the test! In the final class, the room will be turned into an art gallery (with the kid's help) where your children will display two of their favorite pictures that they took from the sessions. Parents and family members will be invited to attend our art show to admire everyone's work. Students will go home with their framed pieces of art after the show and their photography journal. Ages 8 and up. -Students missing a class do so at their own loss. (one-time class) -No refunds or prorates for missed classes. -Individuals who withdraw from their course (6-week class) within 2 weeks before it begins, may do so less $35 processing fee. -An enrolled student withdrawing 1 week before, or after, it begins will receive no refund, unless outstanding circumstances exist (e.g medical condition with Dr note or extreme family emergency). Credit can be extended to a class of equal value, minus any classes attended and less a $35 processing fee.
