Tween/Teen Mixed Media

Service Description

If your tween or teen kids love to draw, paint, and make ceramics, but would like some guidance, then this class is for them! Kids will create a portfolio, learn how to draw circles, triangles, rectangles, and squares as the base for more complex drawings. We will then introduce Gridding followed by value, tints and shades. During the ceramics classes, kids will learn how to hand-build a variety of projects using coil, pinch, and slab techniques. This class does not use the wheel. This 6-week program is open to ages 10 to 18 and is appropriate for true beginners. All materials are included in the price of this program. Classes meet every Monday at 5:45 starting on September 9th, but you can start anytime! These classes are ongoing throughout the school year (no summer classes). The cost of these classes is $225 plus a $25 materials fee. -Individuals who withdraw from their course (6-week art class) within 2 weeks before it begins, may do so less $35 processing fee. -An enrolled student withdrawing 1 week before, or after, it begins will receive no refund, unless outstanding circumstances exist (e.g medical condition with Dr note, or extreme family emergency). However, credit can be extended to a class of equal value, minus any classes attended and less a $35 processing fee.
